This was the same excursion as we did before, so luckily that track will do
as I left my E-trex behind. We didn't take the shortcut on the way there
as we did the first time, but passed by Godafoss falls both times, stopping on
the way back. We were with North
Sailing on the boat Saeborg. This was very good as there was plenty
of room and places for people to see and photograph from. It did not
look good for whale watching at first. as there was already one boat out there, but it was
stationary and it never moved all the time we were there (was it whale
watching after all?) so it looked as though there may be no sightings that
day.
However we soon spotted a Minke and had 8 or 9 sightings, some very
close. Eventually we had to leave that one so as not to disturb it too
much, and went over to the far coast to look for Humpbacks. We didn't
find one, so only had the one Minke, but they were such good views that we
were well satisfied. On the way back we stopped for a photo opportunity
at Godafoss. The coach dropped us off at the left hand car park and then
drove back to the shop for those that needed the comfort break. Some
excursions used the right hand car park, which is only a couple of minutes
from the falls. but has no toilet facilities, although the coach could drive
back which we have done before from this car park. Click the image for

leaving with one woman in the shop, but we just made it back in time,
