Dover Car Parking

1. Dover Harbour Board

The most convenient, but the more expensive.   You just arrive at the terminal and drop off your luggage then drive to the parking on the quayside and return in a shuttle.   On disembarkation the shuttle takes you and your luggage to the car.   Although this is possibly the most convenient, if there is a storm there is danger of waves coming over the harbour wall.   I have heard of cars being damaged but I have never seen this.

Dover Cruise Terminal parking is offered at the port with Dover Harbour Board, prices start at £10.50 per night (subject to a minimum charge of £38) and pre booking is required.   To make a booking please contact 0844 504 1771 between 0830 hrs and 1700hrs Monday to Thursday and 0830 hrs and 1600 hrs on Friday. Alternatively visit www.doverport.co.uk or email carparking@doverport.co.uk for more information.

2. Port Parking Ltd

Port Parking Ltd offer a secure, off-site, park and ride service at Dover with prices starting from just £5.00 per day or part there of, (minimum 2 days).   To make a booking please contact 01304 211 718 or use their online booking system.

I have used their services and found them excellent, very friendly and helpful.   If you search Google maps with "Dover Parking" you will see their site marked right next to the port (note use the roundabout before the cruise terminals if coming from the A20.) The site is well sign posted but you can use street view to walk up the hill and find the turning so that you will recognise it on arrival.   Just be careful not to turn right immediately off the roundabout, that is a private car park.   Take the next turning a few yards further on.   When you arrive you do not hunt for a space in the parking area, you turn right and park by the office.   They will check you in, transfer your luggage to the minibus, take your key and park the car for you.   When I booked I hadn't been given a boarding time so I said 12:00 on the booking.   I actually got there at 11:00 as there was no hold up on the M20, but it wasn't a problem (peak season may be different).   As I was the only one, to save me waiting they chauffered me down in a car.

If all the passengers can manage the minibus, this is the easiest but if you have a passenger who would find it difficult you can go to the terminal first to drop your luggage and passenger(s) and then park the cark and return with just your hand luggage.

3. Relyon Park and Ride Service
