Dublin is the capital of Ireland which is not part of the United Kingdom but is part of the British Isles.   The currency is the Euro.

Although it was inhabited in the Roman times, Irish history dates from the Vikings who first settled here.   It is renowned as being the home of Guiness, which is now brewed worldwide.   Guiness moved its headquarters to London in 1932 but closed the brewery in Park Royal, London in 2005 and switched UK production of Guiness to St. James's Gate Brewery, Dublin
