Scrabster port information

Scrabster is a fishing village and ferry port just outside the town of Thurso.   There is a sheltered bay which provides anchorage for larger cruise ships, while the smaller ones can berth, if there is one available.   You can see from the picture here that it can be a busy port.  The big white ship is not a cruise liner, but the Orkney Ferry, with the Norseman emblem on the side.   It is the port for Thurso, but also provides a convenient port for Wick, where Old Poutney have their distillery, and John O'Groats a famous touristattraction.
