StJohn (NB) port information

St John, New Brunswick (Not to be confused with St. John´s, Newfoundland and Labrador) is the largest city in New Brunswick.  It lies in the Bay of Fundy behind Novia Scotia, where the Fundy Tides are to be found.  St John played a role in the birth of Canada, like Gaspé, though from a British viewpoint rather than a French one.

It has a vibrant arts centre, quality dining and shopping, pristine parks and history lined streets.  One of the city´s biggest attractions is the reversing falls of the Saint John river whereby the Bay of Fundy causes the river flow to reverse.  The city is also home to Martello Tower, a harbour fortification built during the war of 1812 and Fort Howe with its excellent views over the port.
